About the National Youth Sustainability and ESG Project

Vision
To nurture the future leaders of sustainability, ensuring they possess the skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities required to drive meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
Mission
To integrate SDG and ESG education into schools and provide students with the tools and knowledge to contribute to a sustainable and resilient future for generations to come.

Phase 1
Awareness and Knowledge Building. Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of sustainability, ESG, and the SDGs through interactive sessions.

Phase 2
Development of School Sustainability Projects. Guided by mentors, students will design their own sustainability projects, which they will then implement in their communities.

Phase 3
Execution, Monitoring, and Reporting. Students will execute their projects, collect data, and report on the results and impacts, gaining valuable project management skills.

Our Impact

The long-term goal of the NYS-ESG is to integrate the SDGs into the national education system, fostering a generation of young leaders who are passionate about sustainability and equipped with the skills to drive social and environmental change.
Expanded Impact
By embedding the principles of sustainability and ESG into the educational system, the NYS-ESG project aims to cultivate a nationwide culture of sustainability that influences not only the students but also their communities, schools, and future workplaces. The impact will be felt far beyond the classroom, creating a positive ripple effect throughout Trinidad and Tobago and setting a global example of youth leadership in sustainability.
